Emaan Inspection Explores Regional Opportunities (1)

As part of our five-year strategic roadmap, Emaan Inspection recently completed a key internationalisation mission through our participation at Halal Sarajevo 2025, held from 17 to 19 June in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This event provided a platform for engaging with the regional halal economy and exploring the demand for technical inspection and engineering consultancy services across the Western Balkans.

Our presence at the expo was led by Mr. Azmi Abdul Rahim, Operations Director and Project Lead for our Bosnia initiative. With growing regional interest in halal-certified operations, industrial infrastructure, and regulatory development, the mission focused on three core objectives: understanding Bosnia’s regulatory landscape, identifying local partnership opportunities, and assessing the suitability of our statutory inspection and drone-assisted services in the market.

Over the course of the three-day event, Emaan held productive discussions with regulators, including the Cantonal Agency for Investment Attraction and Privatisation (KAIP), as well as real estate developer from the Vučko Residence project. These conversations offered insights into the compliance standards expected in Bosnia’s building and industrial sectors, which share many parallels with the frameworks we operate under in Singapore.

As a licensed corporation under the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore, Emaan has long upheld a reputation for quality and compliance in inspections covering lifting equipment, pressure vessels, lifts, and escalators. With our recent exploration into drone-assisted inspections and a strong track record in statutory inspections and consultancy, we believe our services can support both regulatory and halal operational excellence abroad.

Reflecting on the visit, Mr. Azmi shared, “The conversations we had at Halal Sarajevo affirmed that safety and compliance are just as critical to the halal economy as certification itself. As we look toward expanding into the region, we see real potential for Emaan to support industries here with technical expertise and trusted engineering standards.”

The visit also included engagements with halal economy leaders such as Dr. Mohammed Sherbi, CEO of Rekaz and Organiser of Halal Expo Sarajevo, who highlighted the region’s growing interest in aligning safety with halal standards. We also explored technical collaboration opportunities with Everdeen Global, a Singapore-based firm which is actively involved in halal infrastructure and traceability solutions. The discussion centred on how Emaan can serve as a technical partner in upcoming industrial projects across the halal ecosystem.

Our participation at Halal Sarajevo 2025 reinforces Emaan’s vision of expanding our engineering expertise beyond Singapore, into markets where regulatory integrity, safety, and operational compliance remain critical to sustainable industrial growth. We are confident that this engagement will serve as a foundation for building meaningful collaborations and contributing to a safer, more compliant industrial environment in the Balkans.
