SINGAPORE, 24 April 2026 — Emaan Inspection Pte Ltd (EIPL) marked its 25th anniversary with a gala dinner at the Furama Waterfront Hotel, underscoring its long-standing role in engineering safety, regulatory compliance, and inspection standards across Singapore’s key industries. The event was attended by about 200 guests from industry, clients, and regulatory bodies.
25-Year Milestone in Singapore’s Engineering Safety
Founded in 2001 by Er. Mohd Kahliab Zainal Abidin, Emaan Inspection began as an independent engineering inspection practice and has since grown into a specialist firm serving sectors including construction, shipyards, manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure. Since 2001, the company has conducted inspections to help ensure the safety and reliability of critical engineering systems, including lifting equipment, pressure vessels, steam piping systems, and lift and escalator installations.
Engineering inspections often occur behind the scenes, but they are essential to preventing equipment failures and workplace incidents. At the anniversary event, Er. Mohd Kahliab Zainal Abidin highlighted that the company’s work helps organisations identify risks—such as mechanical defects, pressure-system vulnerabilities, and other operational hazards before they escalate. “Engineering inspection usually happens behind the scenes, but our role is very critical in preventing accidents and ensuring systems can operate safely,” he said.
From Service Provider to Trusted Partner
A hallmark of EIPL’s growth has been long-standing partnerships with industry clients and partners. The company has progressed from a service provider to a trusted technical partner, offering not only inspection services but also advisory support on regulatory compliance and system reliability. During the anniversary event, the company acknowledged early partners and clients who contributed to its development, including its first customer, Atco Marine Hardware Supply Pte Ltd, along with long-time consultants who helped shape its early direction.
Beyond its core services, Emaan Inspection has contributed to Singapore’s engineering ecosystem through industry consultations and participation in the development of inspection standards. The company has supported knowledge transfer, with trainee inspectors from regulatory bodies occasionally attached to its operations to gain practical exposure to field inspection practices.
Looking ahead, the company says the inspection landscape is being transformed by digital tools, advanced testing methods, and data-driven monitoring. Emaan Inspection is focusing on technology adoption and workforce development, with an emphasis on predictive maintenance and data-supported safety systems. “The future of engineering inspection will involve greater use of technology and data to support predictive maintenance and safety management,” added Er. Kahliab.
People Behind the Milestone
The anniversary also highlighted the people who make the work possible: the engineers, technicians, clients, and partners whose collaboration and long-term relationships have sustained EIPL through changing market conditions. Leadership emphasised resilience and teamwork as essential to the company’s ongoing growth and commitment to safe, reliable engineering across Singapore. As Emaan Inspection moves into its next chapter, it remains committed to safeguarding the safety and reliability of Singapore’s engineering systems while evolving in step with industry needs.
